BREAKING: Cat-Killer Vet Kristen Lindsey Arrested

kristen-lindseyIt’s the news every cat lover who has followed the story of veterinarian Kristen Lindsey has wanted to hear for the last year.

The Texas vet – who shamelessly shot a cat with a bow and arrow (now all but proven to be a neighbor’s cat named Tiger) and posted a photo, bragging about it on Facebook – was arrested! She was not, however, charged with animal cruelty like we’d all hoped.

According to Harris County Texas public court records (Cause No. 2081246), Lindsey was arrested on March 21, 2016 at 1:22 in the morning for Driving While Intoxicated.

At the time, her breathalyzer test indicated a blood alcohol level of at least 0.15. That’s almost twice the legal limit of 0.08.

DWI is a Class A Misdemeanor. Lindsey was booked and later released on bail.

She is scheduled to appear in court to face these charges on May 9, 2016.

A statement by Tiger’s Justice Team News Page, who has been closely following Lindsey since the cat-killing incident:

A drunken, cat-killing vet behind the wheel leaves no doubt about where the real threat lies. Lindsey’s alleged crime is a first offense, and therefore a misdemeanor. As we all know, a first offense is seldom the first time a crime has been committed—it’s merely the first time the offender has been caught. We can’t know how often Lindsey has endangered the public. MADD states on their website: “AN AVERAGE DRUNK DRIVER HAS DRIVEN DRUNK OVER 80 TIMES BEFORE FIRST ARREST.”

Tiger’s Justice Team makes the point that, while Kristen Lindsey’s defense team has made a case against feral cats and the supposed dangers they pose for humans, a drunk-driving, cat-killing Lindsey is far more dangerous to society than any cats. Feral cats don’t kill nearly 10,000 people per year—but drunk drivers do!
