Meet Wilson, the Cat Who Worked at Lowe’s

Yes, you read that correctly. Wilson had a job. He was the Official Bird Catcher at the Lowe’s in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was even honored at 2015-2016 Employee of the Year by the team! Sadly, Wilson passed on last month with kidney failure but he left a huge impact on his community.

Wilson was known by thousands in eastern Kentucky as the “Lowe’s Cat” and was the official greeter at the Pikeville Lowe’s for several years. He was adopted from the Pike County Animal Shelter 16 years ago when he hid in his human Mom’s car while she was in the shelter. She heard a little meow while driving home and looked around to see Wilson calmly lying in the back seat!

Just when this dog-eat-dog world has handed you all the poop you can take, it's time to walk the dog. Or wash the dog. Or feed the dog. You get the idea. So welcome to the world of easy-to-care-for cats. Entertainment comes bundled in a furry, huggable, self-cleaning cat who won't beg for your food. In his eyes, you don't eat well enough anyway. Just keep a laser pen handy, sit back and wait for the fun to begin! Cats...ya gotta love 'em.
