Wannabe Model in Ukraine Tattooed Her Cat So He Could Be ‘As Glamorous As Her’

Animal lovers are outraged – and rightfully so – after wannabe Instagram fitness model Elena Ivanickaya, from Ukraine, had an image of the Egyptian God Anubis tattooed onto her pet Sphynx cat’s chest… so he could be, “as glamorous as her.”

Photos posted to the busty blonde’s Instagram page show the hairless cat on his back, under anesthesia, while having his chest tattooed. Ivanickaya and her partner Anatoily Loginov claimed the tattoo was done by one of the best tattoo artists in Ukraine and approved by a veterinarian.

“The best tattoo parlour of Chernigov (and probably all of Ukraine) was chosen, agreed with the vet – a woman wanting to do God-pleasing work,” Loginov said in a Facebook post, defending this act after all the backlash they received. He added, “Making sure that in the world where thousands of sphinxes live well with tattoos, we asked the clinic if it would be harmful for our unique cat. We got the answer – that we can calmly do it.”

Not surprisingly, after these photos were posted, Elena’s account was blasted by people who were angry. She got so much hate that she eventually deleted her account. But not before she lashed out at some of the people who were writing to her.

She wrote, “This cat’s life is better then yours. Maybe it is hell for you, but he feels just fine. He has not been castrated and he never will be, this would be real cruelty.” The blonde, who describes herself as a “fitness athlete” could now face charges of animal cruelty. Ukraine police spokesperson Natalia Chovpylo told The Mirror that Ivanickaya would face animal cruelty charges if authorities establish that the animal was tortured.

Sadly, this is not the first time we’ve reported about a person tattooing their sphynx cat. Earlier this year, a Russian tattoo artist covered his sphynx in gangster tattoos.
