About Us
Our Story
It all began in 2012 with two “totally sane” cat ladies, twin sisters Brooke Arnold and Brandy Arnold. These sisters grew up in a neighborhood where no stray cat could pass by unloved or unnoticed (much to the joy of their equally animal-crazy mother.) Brooke, after years as a veterinary assistant, is an award-winning photographer specializing in capturing the majestic essence of cats (as well as being a whiz in digital marketing). Brandy immersed herself in the world of animal behavior and cognition through Duke University. Her path also led her to marketing and graphic design, working with a company that makes eco-friendly products for pets and travel.
Together, they created The Catington Post for one simple reason: their abiding love for all cats. The site was conceived and built through the combined efforts of contributing bloggers, technicians, and compassionate volunteers. Together, they built a platform that doesn’t just share cute cat pictures (though there are plenty of those!) but underscores how the way people treat animals is a direct reflection of the state of our society. The Catington Post has grown into an authority on domestic cats, providing a treasure trove of information that educates, delights, and inspires. In an era where people increasingly turn to the internet for advice and community, we pride ourselves on being a trusted source for cat lovers everywhere. Our Mission
