Japan has brought us all sorts of wonderful cat-related things – Maneki Neko (the lucky cat), Maru (everyone’s favorite box-loving cat), heck – there’s even a cat-island on Japan! So it’s no surprise that the newest trend in feline-inspired baked goods comes to us straight from Japan, too. Cat-shaped bread. Yes, it’s a thing. An adorable thing that we can’t believe hasn’t been done before!
A Japanese bakery is cooking up cat-shaped loaves of bread. The Blue Jean Cafe sells packs of five slices of the cat-shaped bread from their location inside the Hankyu Hotel in Osaka. They also sell adorable cat-shaped apple pies and cat-shaped chocolate-coated mini-cakes!
