Any kid who’s ever wanted something has, at one time or another, had to take drastic measures to convince their parents to get it for them. Many of us have even had to make our case in order to get a pet cat. But have you ever gone so far as to type up a six-page report to prove just how serious you were?
That’s exactly what 11-year-old Romesa from San Antonio did.
She presented her parents with a report – complete with photos – about why they should let her get a cat. Entitled “Why I would love a cat, Benefits of cats, and fixing problems” Romesa went into great detail, including the fact that “cats can warn you about seizures” and “pets like cats can help us heal from trauma.” Then she played the guilt card, writing, “Who doesn’t want their own children to be happy????”
And if that weren’t enough to influence her parents, Romesa used religion to influence her parents, too. She said, “Prophet Muhammed always fed cats and helped them out because he knew they were kind and clean animals.”
Will Romesa get her cat? Time will tell. We’ll update as soon as we find out!
