It seems we’re always reporting about firefighters saving cats. One mama cat must’ve known a fire engine was a safe place to give birth to her litter of kittens, because that’s where Indianapolis firefighters found three newborn kittens – two boys and a girl – after they heard meowing coming from the back of engine 35.

Firefighters put the tiny kittens one by one in a box filled with blankets and took them to Noah’s Animal Hospital where they were each given a meal and a bath as they meowed for attention.

All of the kittens are in good health. The fire department plans to search for the kittens’ mother, who they hope to reunite with her babies.
