Norwegian black metal rocker Gylve “Fenriz” Nagell got a phone call asking if he’d like to be on the list of backup representatives for his town council in Norway. He agreed, but really didn’t want the position. So, he posted a photo of himself with his cat specifically asking that he NOT be elected.
The exact opposite happened.
Fenriz told The Dodo:
People just went nuts. After the election, the boss called me and told me I was a representative… I’m not too pleased about it. It’s boring. There’s not a lot of money in that, either, I can tell you!
