By now, you’ve seen and heard countless stories of people being rescued from the flood waters in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. But humans aren’t the only ones that have been in need of rescue.
Hundreds of animals — dogs, cats, cows, donkeys, horses, even birds — were displaced by the storm. Whether they were stray to begin with or were left behind when their humans had to evacuate, these unforgettable images show how humans came to the aid of animals affected by the storm.
