Nursing-Cat-Cropped-City-Of-Lagrange-Animal-Shelter-FacebookTwo puppies found themselves orphaned, motherless and hungry. Luckily they got some help from an unlikely place.

The pups – only around 2 weeks old – were rescued from the side of the road after a car hit and killed their mother. The tiny puppies were still too young to eat solid food. Fortunately, the City of LaGrange Animal Shelter in Georgia had two nursing cats who each took a nursing puppy as their own!Cat-Nursing-Puppy-Cropped-City-of-Lagrange-Animal-Shelter-FacebookEven though they were a completely different species, the motherly instincts of the kitties kicked in and they happily accepted their new “kids.”

With the help of their cat moms, the puppies were nursed to health and will be available for adoption soon.

Just when this dog-eat-dog world has handed you all the poop you can take, it's time to walk the dog. Or wash the dog. Or feed the dog. You get the idea. So welcome to the world of easy-to-care-for cats. Entertainment comes bundled in a furry, huggable, self-cleaning cat who won't beg for your food. In his eyes, you don't eat well enough anyway. Just keep a laser pen handy, sit back and wait for the fun to begin! Cats...ya gotta love 'em.
