Did you know Milo and Otis was originally a Japanese film? Columbia Pictures removed 15 minutes from the original film and released a shorter English-language version, narrated by Dudley Moore, in 1989.
There were several animal cruelty allegations made after the release of Milo and Otis. The American Humane Association attempted to investigate the cruelty rumors but never found any evidence. However, several Japanese Humane Societies allowed their names to be used in connection with the film.
