35-year-old Mukesh Kumar apparently got drunk before he and some buddies visited the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad, India. When they approached the lion’s enclosure he jumped 12ft into the protective moat and waded across – in hopes of making friends with the resident lions.

While onlookers screamed and gasped in horror, the man could be heard singing, “Please come to me my darling,” while reaching his hand out to one of the very curious lions – in an effort to shake her hand…er, paw. Frustrated that she isn’t offering a paw in return, the drunken zoo-goer slaps the water and scares off the lioness. But then a male lion approaches – causing chaos to break out among the watching crowd.
Zookeepers hauled the guy out and turned him over to police.
Moral of the story? Don’t drink and zoo.
