That is so sad. How anyone can abandon a living creature. Especially in need. Is beyond me. Hope they go for the max. And I hope they find the poor thing soon. It is possible the cat is trying to make it’w way home. Not unheard of

Does North Carolina have a “sanctuary law” for young mothers to give up their babies no-questions-asked? If so, those facilities should also accept pets that people can no longer afford to care for.

Someone should leave her on the side of the road. My heart goes out to Samson and I hope Police and rescuerers can him very soon. I have a 14 year old cat with diabetes and I COULD NEVER do to him what Raymond did to Samson. Samson you are in my thoughts.

No rescues in her area? No humane societies to surrender him to? I don’t believe it for one minute. So, she dumps a gravely ill cat and just walks away. This callous act of cruelty will cost her more than surrendering him.
