A sadistic man in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev has been arrested for animal cruelty after he was caught on video hanging a cat from a tree and using it as a punching bag.
Animal rights activists were tipped off by 31-year-old Dmitry Kiyanitsa’s neighbors that he was abusing cats. However, in order to get police involved, Svetlana Lavrikova and Yulia Khomenko needed evidence – so they secretly filmed him.
What they caught on tape was horrifying. Not only did they record him beating a cat with a hose pipe and a stick, but they knew they had the evidence they needed when they videoed him hanging a cat to a tree by a metal wire around its throat and then started punching it.

Lavrikova and Khomenko showed the video to police who quickly arrested Kiyanitsa, who is now facing charges of animal cruelty and faces jail if convicted.
Fortunately, the abused cat was rescued and survived the ordeal.
