A Persian cat named ‘Sailor’ aboard a Russian cruise ship has cruised for years between Russia’s two main cities, Moscow and Saint Petersburg. According to Ruptly, Sailor has been “working” with the Nikolay Chernyshevsky cruise ship’s captain, Vladimir Kotin, since 2008.
He has become not only a real crew member, keeping watch on the captain’s bridge every night from midnight until 4:00am, but is also an attraction for tourists.
Sailor even has a Skipper…The captain said he got a second cat to keep Sailor company. The two get along, although the younger one tends to be a bit more lazy:
