According to the local Fox affiliate:

The homeowner says she noticed the cat was trapped just before 1 p.m. and quickly called for help. Firefighters managed to free the cat around 3 p.m. before taking the kitty to the Thurston County Humane Society in Olympia for a check-up.

The local Humane Society has the cat who, other than a few scratches around his neck, appears to be in good health. If his owner doesn’t come forward, he will be placed for adoption. If you recognize this kitty, you’re asked to call 360-352-2510 to help get him back to his rightful owners.
