Spray Painted CatA family in Hermitage, Pennsylvania had been feeding a stray cat for several months when he showed up at their door spray painted bright orange.

The poor kitty was immediately taken to a vet for treatment but, sadly, he died a short time later. Humane officers believe his death was a result of inhaling fumes from the spray paint.

Police are searching to find whoever is responsible for this senseless act of cruelty. Private donors have created an $800 reward for information leading to an arrest.

According to local news station, WPXI, the crime is punishable by up to five years in prison. If anyone has information that might help officers arrest the animal abuser, please contact the Hermitage Police.
